I have started a series of work which include piercings. I was inspired by these little trinkets, some of which I took to the Summer School in Winter and the others I took to Red Deer. The more I am piercing the more I am enjoying the works.

These look interesting. After you complete your calligraphy design, you pierce designs into the tag with a needle?
Yes, that's it CJ. I am loving piercings and I work them with an "awl"... because the handle helps! They take a long time and I really feel I need my "head read" but it is a lovely complement to the work ... no matter what the support is I am working on, paper or canvas. I created these for both my Melbourne and Red Deer classes.
